It’s getting to that point where it’s only baseball and no basketball or hockey. This means we’re either going to win a lot of money or lose a lot of money. Let’s see how it goes.
Astros -118 @ Yankees
If it’s Verlander, Morton, or Cole on the mound then I’m going to bet on the Astros. Morton is HOT over his last three starts, going 3-0 with a 1.80 ERA. He has had some trouble in Yankee Stadium though in his two career starts, going 1-1 with a 5.68 ERA. I’m expecting Morton to ride his hot streak though.
Nationals -115 @ Orioles
Dylan Bundy is 3-6 with a 4.45 ERA this season for the Orioles. They’re just awful. Might be the worst baseball team of all-time. I’ll gladly bet on the Nationals (again). Riding Jeremy Hellickson, who’s having a strong season so far.
Cubs -120 @ Pirates
Again, just going with the pitching matchup taking Lester over Kingham. This will be the game I’ll be checking in on just so I can see if Rizzo catches one in the middle of the back.
Red Sox -190 vs Blue Jays
Estrada is having an awful season, and Porcello is having a decent season. Red Sox are just a lot better than the Blue Jays. Whatever, I’ll bet on it.
Cardinals -110 @ Brewers
Wacha is having an outstanding year for the Cardinals (5-1, 2.88 ERA), and Zach Davies is NOT having an outstanding year (2-4, 4.74 ERA). Also if you’re big into trends, the Cardinals are 7-2 in Wacha’s last 9 starts. Davies is 0-4 in last 4 starts against teams with winning records. Trends!
Reds EVEN @ Diamondbacks
Daily Reds pick. Forgot to do it yesterday (but it was on purpose because Homer Bailey was pitching). Expect a strong outing from Castillo, and expect the Reds offense to keep rolling.
Phillies +142 @ Dodgers
Just putting all my hope and faith in Arrieta. Also here’s a crazy trend that probably really doesn’t matter too much. Dodgers are 1-8 in their last 9 home games against right-handed starters. So, go Phillies.
