Paul George is Officially an Unrestricted Free Agent

Paul George has informed the Oklahoma City Thunder that he will not be opting into the final year of his contract, and he is officially an unrestricted free agent….I wonder where he’s going.

NBA: Utah Jazz at Indiana Pacers

PG13 has had a successful career so far. George has made five All-Star Games and has been named to an All-NBA team four times. George is a career 18.6 ppg scorer, but that number is a little bit deflated due to his 2014-15 season where he only played in 6 games after returning from a broken ankle. In those 6 games, PG averaged only 8.8 ppg.

Everyone expects George to sign with the LA Lakers, especially since he’s been vocal for awhile about where he wants to play. It helps the Lakers out that he’s a local kid from Pasadena. Don’t be surprised though if the Lakers pass on George and he stays in OKC. Bringing in Kawhi and Lebron could make it hard to bring in Paul George, unless they all took small pay cuts.

This is the NBA; Home of the Most Dramatic Off-Season. Anything could happen.

(He’s definitely going to LA, they’ll find a way to make it work)
