Reds Going for Series Win Today

In another matinee at Wrigley today, it’s Jon Lester facing Luis Castillo. Jon Lester is having a great first half of the year posting an 11-2 record with a 2.25 ERA. Castillo is 5-8 with a 5.53 ERA but has pitched better than what his record shows.

The Reds took the first game of the series 3-2 and completely fell apart yesterday in the eight inning, losing 8-7. For the second time this week the reds blew a 7-2 lead in which they had in at least the sixth inning. The bats have been hot for the Reds. It seems like Billy is really starting to get a feel for things after posting back to back 3 hit games.

This will be a pitchers duel today in a matchup of old vs young. Do the Reds have what it takes to win their second straight series against the Cubs?
