The Carolina Panthers finalized the sale of the organization today.
After 23 seasons Jerry Richardson put the team up for sale last season. Richardson pioneered the Panthers into the NFL, being the sole owner for the entire existence of the franchise. Richardson saw the Carolina Panthers take huge leaps over the years, making the super bowl in 2003, and 2015.
David Tepper will be the new owner of the team, and to say the least, has the mindset you want your favorite teams owner to have. He is determined to bring a Super Bowl title to Charlotte. The hedge fund manger bought the team for a cool $2.275 Billion.
“Winning is the most important thing both on the field and in the community, and I am committed to winning a Super Bowl championship together. I look forward to being part of the Panthers’ family and to supporting this flourishing region.” Said Tepper in an interview.
As a panthers fan, this is an exciting time, and I look forward what Tepper is going to bring to Charlotte.
