Over the next few days, we’ll be looking at some of our favorite MLB All-Star Game and Home Run Derby Memories. For today’s memory, let’s checkout Todd Frazier winning the Home Run Derby at Great American Ball Park.
2015 was an absolute miserable season for us Reds fans. It was the second year of the start of our rebuild, and we didn’t have much to cheer for. Our pitching was god awful, and we were only able to win 64 games. God awful pitching. Hm.
This was our lone highlight of the year. Cincinnati hosted the All-Star Game that year, and The Toddfather new how important it was to go out and defend his home turf. It looked like the Derby was all but over, until Frazier caught fire with a minute and a half left. This was also the first year that the timer was incorporated, and although I’m not a fan of it, it helped provide some great drama.
Man, I miss Chris Berman.
