The Double-A All-Star Game was Decided by a Hitting Competition

Before we start talking about the hitting competition, quick word about Tim Tebow. He doubled

So instead of playing extra innings or calling the game a tie (S/O to Bud Selig), the Eastern  League All-Star Game decided the winner by having a hitting competition. The rules are pretty self-explanatory, and the Trenton Thunder were nice enough to tweet them out for us.

Will Craig was able to score 300 points to get the win for the Western Division, but Zach Green was able to at least make it a little bit dramatic.

Major League Baseball should take a look at this hitting competition set-up. I’m not opposed to ending regular-season games like this instead of going into extra-innings.
