Carmelo Anthony reportedly will sign with the Rockets for $2.4 million after his buyout with the Hawks after his trade from the Thunder.
And he'll still make his $27.9 million 😏

I’d imagine that every single team offered Carmelo a minimum deal. Why wouldn’t you? The guy already got $28M to do nothing, so why would he need any more? Carmelo is probably content with another $2M, and now he gets to play for the second best team in the league.
Houston lost Trevor Ariza and Luc Mbah a Moute, so Carmelo is actually filling a void that the Rockets needed to take care of.
The Rockets probably had to sit Carmelo down and explain that he will only be their third or fourth option. I guess he’s cool with it though if he might have a chance to win the title. Just don’t expect him to ever be OK with coming off the bench.
