An Update on Scott Frost

KETV7 Omaha-Lincoln police are asking for the public’s help identifying those responsible for stealing $165,000 worth of memorabilia from the home of Nebraska football coach Scott Frost.
Police said someone broke into Frost’s home, which is located near 27th Street and Pine Lake, sometime between 5:30 p.m. Friday and Sunday.
Among the items listed as stolen from Frost’s home were 14 championship rings, a signed Nebraska football helmet and a Nintendo Wii. However, as of 6 p.m. Monday, Frost had recovered all of those items — they were misplaced, not stolen, police said.
The person or persons responsible gained entry to Frost’s home through an unlocked garage door, police said. The home was being renovated and no one was living there at the time.
Five pairs of Oregon Ducks Air Jordan sneakers, five Oregon football helmets and four autographed photographs are still missing.
“The incident that occurred at our home is obviously very disappointing and discouraging,” Frost said in a statement. “All of our belongings were gone through and it will take some time to determine exactly what is missing and the value of those items.
“I would like to clarify that some items initially reported as missing have been found, including some of the rings listed on the police report. Also, the value of what we believe to actually be missing is lower than what has been publicly reported.”
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Lincoln Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.”

We talked about the Scott Frost robbery yesterday, and I said that there was no way that this was a Nebraska fan. I said that because no Nebraska fan would pickup a Championship Ring that says Frost, and know that they’d be able to get away with it.

Well, maybe it was a Nebraska fan. And maybe they didn’t take the rings because they knew they couldn’t get away with it. What would you do with the rings after stealing them? Sell them? Someone would call the damn National Guard on you in Nebraska for trying to sell their new Head Coach’s Championship Rings. This guy’s about to turn your favorite college football program around, and all your focused on is robbing him? Whoever you’d try to sell those rings to would have you killed.

Good call on not taking the Wii. I doubt he would’ve been able to live without it.

Definitely a Nebraska fan though since they took the Oregon shoes. “Ohhhh shit, these ain’t got nothing to do with Nebraska. He won’t care. Let’s sell these sons of bitches.”

I can’t wait for Frost to find the other box of stuff that he thought was missing in his house. It’ll be a big time Egg on His Face moment.
